Brief Answer:
Nasal turbinate hypertrophy.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

Thank you for your query.

1. These symptoms are common with nasal turbinate hypertrophy and DNS (deviated nasal septum). There is a normal Nasal Cycle that causes alternate blockage of the nose every 2-7 hours. Turbinate hypertrophy makes you aware of these subtle changes.

2. Get a nasal examination done. Thus will help confirm these findings, and look for signs of allergy, stress-induced and rule out other problems such as polyps.

3. A plain CT PNS (Para Nasal Sinuses) with a pre & post decongestion scans after using 5-8 drops of Otrivin nasal drops (and waiting for 15 minutes between scans) will give an accurate assessment. Upload the images.

4. Initially medication (anti-alllergic, steroid nasal sprays, steam inhalation) is given. If the problem persists, Radiofrequency ablation of the nasal turbinates can be done.

I hope that I have answered your query. If you have any more questions I will be available to answer them.

Regards.
