Suggest Treatment For Oral-buccal Dyskinesia

Question: hello doctor,
my father in law who is 59 year old is suffering from orobuccal Dyskinesia, where his lips and tongue make involuntary movement.

attached is the doctor's prescription but somehow we are not seeing satisfactory results.

I am also attaching a list of medicines that he was taking for other uses such as bp, sugar and depression.

request you to please examine and suggest something.

It would be nice if you could post a video of his involuntary movements.You can post it up on google drive and share the drive link here,in the follow-up question.

Further,please let me know the following details-
1)Since when he is having these abnormal movements?
2)Are they continuous or improves intermittently?At what time of the day,are they worse?Are there any specific aggravating or improving factors?
3)Please list the salt/composition of the medicines he was on,before these movements started.

The prescription by Dr XXXXXXX XXXXXXX patidar appears fine and should bring some improvement.

Did any of the investigations suggested by him turned positive?

due to so much of movement his tongue is damaged and his teeth have sharpened

I have gone through the video clip which you uploaded.It indeed is 'oromandibulo-buccal dyskinesia'.

First and foremost thing,is to ensure that his blood sugar is well controlled.High blood sugar can result in such movement abnormalities.

Further,the following investigations need to be done-
Kidney function tests
Serum electrolytes
MRI Brain
ESR/CRP/ANA
Thyroid function tests
Blood smear for acanthocytes

Besides,old age can also result in such symptoms.If due to ageing process,then it comes under the group of 'senile chorea'.

Meanwhile, treatment as suggested by Dr XXXXXXX XXXXXXX patidar appears to be fine and may continue.
