Suggest Treatment For Oral Candidiasis
Question: Hello,
I am having itching inside my mouth, the front half of my tongue feels as though I burned it from a hot liquid. The itching is quite intense, it begins just beyond my lips and inside my mouth . It began as tiny bumps in the same area, those lasted for about 5 days and then changed to smooth tissue but with the itching and a bit of swelling. I did perform oral sex on my husband last week and this all seemed to begin after that. I also got a tattoo on my ankle two days prior to the oral sex and that is itching intensely also...

Going by description of your symptoms and associated oral intercourse, possibility of Oral Candidiasis strongly needs to be considered, remote possibility of herpes too needs to be evaluated . Exact diagnosis will depend on clinical examination .
Providing clinical photograph will really be helpful
I would suggest you the following
1. Anti fungal lozenges like Nystatin Lozenges will be helpful
2. Local Application of oral local anaesthetic gel will help relieve pain
3. Oral Mutli vitamin Supplement will be helpful
Regarding the intense itching at site of tattoo, its occasionally seen few days following: If there is no raw area there is unlikely to be cause for concern. Local application of Calamine lotion and Cetirizine will be helpful in relieving the itching
If the symptoms still persist than do consult your primary care physician
