Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Can you provide a picture of your mouth and other problems you have? So, I can analyze myself.
If oral thrush is confirmed, you should:
- apply honey mixed with soda bicarbonate inside your mouth and your lips
- apply miconazole oral gel locally 4 times/day for at least 7 days
Apart oral thrush, anemia should be excluded through complete blood count.
Are you taking any other medication currently? Are you having any stomach problem: burning, pain, constipation/diarrhea?
Looking forward to have the photo and requested data in!

I am not on antibiotics, no steroid use, etc. I do not have diabetes mellitus, or HIV AIDS, or any other autoimmune deficiencies. I am not experiencing any stomach issues, burning, pain, constipation or diarrhea. I'm pretty regular. I attached a photo of my mouth, but not sure it shows up well. Let me know. It's extremely, itchy like sunburn and my mouth feels 'coated' inside.
Just for further information, because a friend wondered this, I am married, but have not had oral sex with my husband and he does not have anything going on with his private area, like a fungus, that could be transferred to me. He is also does not have any of the issues above. I hope that helps and wasn't too much information.
Thank you.

Hi back,
Thank you for providing more of your medical data. They helped get an idea over your oral problems as unfortunately, I did not receive any photo. Can you please resend at:

with subject line: "Attention to Dr.Albana Sejdini"?
Thank you.
I am glad to know that you are healthy with no other medical issue. By the way, thrush/fungal infection is not transmitted sexually or by contact. Please bare in mind that fungus/candida is part of normal flora of the mouth/GI tract/skin.
There is a balance of oral microbiota. If this balance is broken due to many factors, candida/fungal/thrush infection will thrive. This is what happened to you.
Some of the causes include:
- antibiotic use: you have excluded it
- autoimmune disease: you have ruled them out
- stomach problems: you have excluded them too
- dentures: are you wearing dentures?
Sex is not a factor. Sex does not affect oral thrush. I think you might have passed a viral infection that has caused your immunity to weaken. In such situation, oral candida/thrush thrived.
Looking forward to have the photo in!
