Question: I have an over growth to my hips and it is suggested I have
it shaved down (surgically). Is this advised and will it solve the problem?

Yes, overgrowths or Osteochondromas can be shaved down surgically only if they are causing you trouble like pain, nagging or pulling sensation, tingling or numbness, restricted hip movement on performing certain activities and if the mass is growing quickly.

This will definitely solve pressure issues associated with the bony mass if benign.
