Brief Answer:
Teriparatide [Forteo] for osteoporosis.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I have studied your case with diligence.

Bisphosphonates cause osteonecrosis of jaw, so you can take Teriparatide [Forteo] for osteoporosis consulting your doctor. Also Calcitonin nasal spray will help.

Check your bone strength with DEXA SCAN and you can start medication according to level of osteoporosis,
You need to start supplement of calcium with vitamin D, vit B12,
I will advise you to do regular physiotherapy and exercises as my patients find much relief by these therapies.

You need to take diet rich in calcium and vitamin D.
You can do yoga and pranayama as many of my patients find relief with this approach.

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.

Take care.

Thank you for an answer. I can give my DEXA SCAN result from January 10,2014. Left Femoral Neck T-score: -2.3; Left total Hip T-score: -1.9; Lumbar Spine(L1-L4) T-score: -3.6. I have been taking Calcium(as Calcium Carbonate from Oyster Shell)-1000mg with vit.D (Ergocalciferol ) 400IU,Magnesium Oxide-400mg FOR 3 YEARS! BUT THAT DIDNT HELP.I got osteoporoses. My vit.D was 20 last month and doctor told to take 1 more of vit.D3-1000IU(as cholecalciferol) The level of vit.D now just 24! I am going to start vit.D3(400IU softgels) insted of 1000mg tablets. is that right? im doing exercises with weight 1.5 lb in each hand or on each leg. But I feel smthg that is not enough because I feel pain in my spine more. May be check vit.B12, B6 level. I make appointment with Rheumatologist but I want to come to the doctor with information . Tell me, please, what to do. Thank you.I am sorry ,but I sent follow up question on this topic. because I would like a more detailed answer. I hope to get an answer because now you now my test result and dose of medications

Brief Answer:
Explained below

Detailed Answer:
Hello again,

As you are not getting expected results after 3 years of treatment you may need additional supplement other than calcium and vit D.

Yes you can take 400 IU softgels instead of tablets.
Your DEXA report of spine shows severe osteoporosis.
Calcitonin nasal spray will help you to manage osteoporosis in a better way.
You can also start teriparatide injection consulting your doctor.

And physiotherapy and exercises play important long term role in combating osteoporosis.

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.

Take care.
