Suggest Treatment For Pain After Mild Groin Strain

Question: I have what started out as a mild groin strain. It then moved to my outside hip and now is creating soreness in my thigh and knee. This has happened over a period of 4 months. On my feet 11 hours a day at work, but now it is becoming painful to do so. Should I be worried about blood clots?
Brief Answer:
I do not think it is blood clot
Detailed Answer:
Hello sir,
I have studied your case and I do not think that it is due to blood clot. It looks to me that either you are having hip synovitis or a nerve compression in the spine. But before I advise you any thing I want to know little detail about your illness.
1. What is the nature of the pain. Is it associated with tingling and numbness?
2. Are you having any difficulty in squatting, using stairs ?
3. Are you having any back pain also?
4. Are you taking any medicines since long time or any chronic illness?
Please send me answers of these questions. I will try my best to help you.
thanks.

actually its easier climbing stairs. no tingling or numbness...just soreness. no back pain or medicine.
Brief Answer:
I would suggest you to get MRI
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have studied your case and I came to this conclusion that it can not be a groin strain, as it is not common to have pain for four months after just strain.
I would suggest you to meet a orthopedic surgeon and get MRI of the hip joint. This will tell us if there is any fluid collection in the joint.
I hope this answer will be useful. Let me know if there is any follow up questions.
Thanks.
