Thanks Doctor

I am not having fever or chills presently however I feel weak.

No burning urination, only pain at the end of urination

Yes, there is an increase in urination and my water intake less than 2 liters.

I observed foul smell in urination and some discharge few days ago.

I am not that active sexually, yes a week ago I was sexually active.

I am not sure about pain in lower abdomen. I did not have any pain though.

Please advise.

Regards,

XXXX

Brief Answer:
Dehydration predisposes to UTI

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear, goodday. Thanks for the information provided.
Among your complaints there are 4 strong points to suspect urinary tract infection(UTI) which are:-
1)Increased urination.
2)Less water intake.
3)Pain at the end the urination.
4)Foul smelling with discharge in urine.
So you need a work up for evaluation of UTI.
In my opinion you need to go for:-
1)Ultrasound abdomen for evaluation of kidney, bladder and urinary tracts to rule out any renal stones.
2)Complete urine examination.
3)Culture and sensitivity of the sample.
4)Complete blood picture.
The above investigations help to evaluate UTI and its causes.
As a general rule 3-4 litres per day, cranberry juice help to prevent UTI.
Kindly let me know the reports for furthur discussion.
Hope this satisfies your query.
Feel free to discuss furthur.
Best regards...Dr.Srilatha
