Suggest Treatment For Pain And Difficulty In Passing Urine

default
Posted on Wed, 28 May 2014
Question: Yesterday I had a tumor removed from my bladder through my urethra. Yesterday I passed urine without difficulty. Today. I cannot pass urine and am in pain when I try. It looks like my urethra is swollen shut? What can I do now (before my follow up apt with surgeon) to decrease swelling and pass urine. Cold compress, bathing in a tub? I am taking hydrococin (?) for pain every 4 hours.

Brief Answer:
hi and welcome to hcm

Detailed Answer:
If you this persist for more than 24 hours and there is pain in lower abdomen, you should visit doctor so that urine catheter can be placed. Other methods such as cold compresses, raspberry tea and increased water intake may help but if there is urethral obstruction then only catheter can help. Also you should do urine analysis to rule out uroinfection. Wish you good health.feel free to ask .regards.
