![default](/r/images/default.png)
Question: Having reoccurring pain in right leg above ankle. It sometimes runs up the back of the leg. Minor stiffness in back also.
Brief Answer:
It can be a disc herniaton in the back
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have studied your case and I think that you are having disc herniation in the back. It is causing compression of the nerve and pain in whole leg. Before I advise you any thing I want to know few questions.
1. Since when these symptoms are present?
2. Are you also having tingling, numbness or weakness?
3. Is this pain also present when you are lying in bed?
Please send me answers of these questions. I will try my best to help you.
thanks

Brief Answer:
You need a MRI of the spine
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I would recommend you to get MRI of the spine to confirm the diagnosis. It will confirm our diagnosis and also tell us about management.
1. If there is very slight nerve compression than I would suggest Pregabalin and Methylcobal tablet.
2. I would also recommend you to meet a physio and start back muscle strengthening exercises.
3. Avoid heavy weight lifting and sudden weight lifting. If there is any increase in pain then you might need to show it to orthopaedic surgeon.
I hope this answer will be useful for you. Let me know if there is any other followup questions.
thanks
