Question: My mother Experiencing lot of pain and swelling in her left leg. Doctor have suggested to have Visco Injection. Can you please suggest if it is advisable to take this injection. Do it have any side effects? Will her problem will solve after this injection

Since your mother has Sulpha and Tetracycline allergy, it would be wise to try a test dose of the Visco before getting it administered into the joint. This will be done by her Doctor once you inform him/her.
Side effects can include allergic reaction, pain, swelling.
The full effect of this injection will take about 4 to 6 months average. It will definitely help for mild to moderate grades of Osteoarthritis knee.
