Question: My kidney's hurt, I have a fever and I just threw up. My back is killing me. I don't have insurance so I can't go to the doctor's. Is there anything I can do at home?

Detailed Answer:
Dear Friend.
Welcome to HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern.
This seems to be renal/uretetic colic due to stone anywhere in the urinary tract.
This should be evaluated with ultrasound and other relevant investigations. Even of you don't have any insurance you would eventually require tests.
For pain relief I would advise you to take Tablet Drotaverine and for vomitings you can take a combination of Pantoprazole and Domperidone.
You can also put hot water bottle over your stomach for symptomatic relief from pain.
If you are passing adequate urine then drink a lot of water.
Seek medical help.
If you have any further query please ask me.
