However, over the oast week, pain has started to increase again, including in the lower part of my left shoulder blade in my back. This pain is worse at night when I am in bed. When in bed movement is excruciating.

Brief Answer:
Pain medications are the best approach to this....Avoid lying on this side!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this fracture you sustained and the persistent pains. I have reviewed your information fully and the current management. This is adequate for the treatment of non displaced rib fractures and this is what you probably sustained. Healing has not been complete and any excessive movements would for sure provoke pain. I am curious to know if you are taking all the listed medications or just a few. In this light, I will like to know the details on which you are currently taking, the dosage and the frequency. The main approach here is to titrate the drugs and manage your pains while healing sets in. Also, avoid abrupt and exaggerated movements that may provoke this pain. Finally, avoid lying on the affected ribs.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be. Hope to get the above responses and provide more insights.
