Brief Answer:
Possible prostate issue

Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome.
This sounds to me like prostate enlargement or urinary tract infection and this is not uncommon in men of your age. You should drink raspberry tea or juice, and more fluids in general. However,it would be best to do prostate ultrasound and urinary analysis to verify is there disorder that I 've mentioned above. Wish you good health. Regards

Do you think if I can't urinate at all that I need to go to the hospital and have a catheter put in.

Brief Answer:
It Depends

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

If there is inability to urinate for 24 hours and there is pain in lower part of abdomen then it would be ideal to have a catheter placed and it would ease your symptoms.
