Suggest Treatment For Pain In Abdomen And Lower Back Area

default
Posted on Mon, 20 Jun 2016
Question: Hello,
Last month I started to get pains in my abdomen and in my lower back on both sides. I ignored the pain thinking it was just a pulled muscle or something. A few weeks later the pain still hadn't gone away and it was getting worse. I came home from work one day and my pee was a blue/green colour (but only that one time, every other time it was a dark colour, cloudy or normal yellow), I had told my mom and she told me it was a Kidney infection and to drink a lot of water. I started to drink more water throughout my days and I even drank Cranberry juice, the pain went away for a few days but it has come. Today I came home from work and my pee was a clear colour with a tinge of blue, I have pains in my lower back on both sides, bad pain, I felt nauseous two days ago and I had a fever. Today I have the chills and I haven't been feeling the greatest or like myself lately, I'm always tired and I always feel weak too. Also ever since I got these pains I haven't had my period.. I didn't get it last month and I still haven't gotten it yet this month. I have had signs of possibly getting my period last month and this month already too but I haven't gotten it and the signs have gone away now.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. This pain in lower abdomen and flanks with missed periods could be simple menstrual cramps and hormonal imbalances and periods delay may likely cause it. Infections of urinary tract are also a possibility and should be evaluated. Get a urine routine exam and see what the result has to say.

till then take some mefenamic acid for the pain and also consult a doctor for the periods delay and irregularity. If infection proven on urine exam, antibiotics will help. and if not then its likely gynecological issue and delayed periods need to be correlated for the cause.

I hope it helps. take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.

Khan
