Suggest Treatment For Pain In Foot
I overstretched my right foot during Tai-chee class and severely strained it. Apparently, I was up on my tippy toes too far and weakened the ankle. I played tennis one week later having thought it was ok, but after one hour of play, I shut it down. Next day I could barely walk gingerly, but could not get down stairs.
I have rested it for one month now and it feels ok (nut sure if 100%) was wondering if there were stretching exercises I can do, and how I should attempt playing tennis again....would a bandage serve as protection while I play to minimize reinjuring it?

Hello
Thank You for contacting HCM. My name is Dr Muhammad Ali Rauf & i will look into your problem.
I have gone through your query and would try to help you in the best possible way. I would suggest you to start physical activity gradually. As tennis requires severe stress on feet so its better to increase it gradually. Initially i would recommend you to start brisk walk followed by jogging. Gradually perform jumping exercise to increase stability of ankle joint. Apart from that, ask some family member or you can yourself do oil massage the ankle. Keep this routine for a week and then go on start playing tennis. Hopefully you will cope up with the stress and no further problem will occur.
Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help if not then don't forget to close the discussion and rate it.
Wishing you good health !!
