Suggest Treatment For Pain In Knee That Radiates To Foot
Question: This is the second time I'm asking and I am getting confused because I not experience in using this kind of service.
my question is: I am suffering for about a week an excruciating pain on my left knee. I can only stay sitting down or in bed. If I start walking the pain is soooo painful that I need to get back in bed. The pain goes down to my left foot and my foot feels frozen.

Thank you for writing on health care magic. I understand that you are new to this service and we will do our best to guide you further.
I have gone through your medical history
I just want to ask a few questions here:
1. How many days since this knee pain started
2. Do you observe any swelling in the joint
3. Has it happened before in the same joint as well
When you get your gout attacks
4. Do you see any buldge on the back side of the knee
5. Are you experiencing any stiffness in the mornings in the knee joint
Do let me know these answers and I will try to guide you further on how to manage it
Thanks

Knee Pain
Detailed Answer:
Good evening mam.
The pain in your knee is probably due to the swelling of the knee which is stretching and causing pressure on the ligaments and joint capsule and they are radiating to your foot. The cause of this swelling is probably due to Osteoarthritis of the knees, that is degenerative condition which destroys the joint cartilage.
X Ray and MRI you can get it done, but they may not provide any extra information. You can try taking a different analgesic, tylenol or a bit stronger like diclofenac. Wear a knee band and use some warm water therapy over it. Keep trying to stretch your leg, so it doesn't get stiff in one position.
This should help you get through the next few days till you see the doctor. The best treatment will be to take an injection into the joint which will relieve you of your pain
hope the information was useful
