Suggest Treatment For Pain In Neck And Ears While Laughing
Question: When I laugh my head starting at the tops of my ears to the back of my neck hurts with bad pain that I have to stop laughing. My head feels like it is going to explode when I do laugh. Once I stop I have a slight headache for a little while. Is this something I should be concerned about?

It could be due to
1. physiological changes of brain- displacement of cerebellar tonsils into foramen magnum secondary to pressure difference between intra cranial and intra spinal space, causes stretching of pain sensitive (nerves,blood vessels) structures.
2. Facial neuralgia-irritation of cranial nerves.
I suggest you to consult ENT surgeon and get detailed ENT examination, cranial nerve examination, if necessary MRI (depending on severity).
