Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Groin Area

see the Orthopedician
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for posting the query,
There are several possibilities, but I would recommend seeing a doctor to rule out a stress fracture in the femoral neck or pelvis. Pain that gets better with rest and returns immediately with running, as well as the pain when lifting your leg, are classic symptoms. If you get them during an increase in running, there is even more suspicion of sfx. In the early stages, these sfx's will not stop you from running, nor will they produce pain with a hop test. A clinical exam (where the doctor or PT analyzes different movements and whether they cause pain), is also not accurate. Ideally, you should have an MRI.
Many PCP's are not qualified to diagnose or differentiate between early sfx's and other problems. Ask for an MRI; it is the only way to know for sure. If it's not a sfx, your doctor will look for something else and will advise you on how to modify your running. If it is one, you will be doing yourself a huge favor by discovering it early - your healing time will be much shorter.
And until you do see a doctor, don't run or do any activity that causes pain. Good luck.

cannot confirm.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Weather the pain comes back next time cannot be confirmed. If it recurs again then it is better to talk to your orthopedician, they'll teach you the muscle stretching exercises or will refer to physiotherapist. But as of now better to avoid such heavy activities for 4 weeks.
Take care.
