Question: This afternoon I started a pain in my lower ab. It is on the left side, is a dull pain then a sharp pain sometimes shoots out of the constant pain. No pain in my belly or belly button. I had thought maybe my appendix but that is on your right side. The location of the pain is about right but organ is not. Lol

Brief Answer:
It could be due to left side Ureteric stone.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Pain in the left side of the abdomen in the lower region could be due to Ureteric stone.Stone gets impacted in the narrowest portion of the lower Ureter producing pain.
Appendix can be on the left side in few people in a condition called Situs inversus.
Ultrasound abdomen will exclude Ureteric stone and will give a clue regarding Appendix.
If Ultrasound abdomen is normal, then Large bowel, particularly Sigmoid colon pathology has to be excluded by Colonoscopy.
Please consult your doctor, get examined clinically and proceed accordingly.
Nothing to worry.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions, I will clarify further.
Wish you good health.
