Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Right Arm

Question: My right upper arm started hurting without reason. Severely. I laid down at night and when I woke up it hurt so badly. At first I thought I just laid wrong, but the pain is getting more throbbing and more severe. I cannot use the arm because it hurts so much. The upper arm is not red, not hot, not nothing. It is just throbbing and it hurts severely when I move it. Any ideas?
Brief Answer:
Could be frozen shoulder.
Detailed Answer:
Hi I am Dr Gopal Goel Orthopedic Surgeon.
Reading the history and your problem , I am Of the opinion that you are probably suffering from Frozen shoulder (R) since the pain increases on movement of upper arm.
It is a difficult condition to treat and a lot of patience is required. To begin with I advice all my patients to start pain killers , muscle relaxants, and physiotherapy( Interferential therapy + Exercises) . Adequate trial for 3-4 weeks should be taken before going on the next step- Local injection of steroid or PRP.
Thanx for the question. Please feel free to ask any other question.

Thank you for your response. Can you please tell me WHY this is happening? What did I do in order to get this? Or what do I do wrong? And can you tell me who would offer Phsyiotherapy and also what type of exercise. Is there a youtube online for the exercise or is it too dangerous doing it alone? Thank you and have a great rest of your day.
Brief Answer:
No cause in majority, Physiotherapy to be done by physiotherapist.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Nobody can tell why it occurs except when there is a injury. There is nothing wrong on your part or you did not do anything wrong, It is just that majority of the times there is no cause found for this problem.
Any good physiotherapist would give you physiotherapy-- I normally recommend Interferential therapy ( given with a machine) and Exercises( to be done and taught by physiotherapist). Exercises are a painful Process and it is better to be done under supervision of a physiotherapist.
Thanx.
