Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Upper Back Area

Brief Answer:
Can be a muscle spasm.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The pain that you have can be due to a wrong posture or a muscle spasm. Wrong posture or a sudden sharp movement can aggravate such a pain.
You need to take rest, avoid all painful movements, do a hot compress and have an oral muscle relaxant to get relief. Application of a local analgesic gel will also help.
I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.
Wishing you good health.

6 months ago, had stress test which showed nothing but excellent condition. 3 days/week of tae kwon do. No other health issues or smoking, etc. But- 3 years of androgel, which comes with warnings re heart. Last week, had arm pain from weight lifting. Worth emergency room visit?
Brief Answer:
Cardiac cause not likely.
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
If there is no associated shortness of breath and sweating then a cardiac cause is not likely. You can take rest and see if the pain subsides. In case the pain aggravates or is persistent then do consult a cardiologist.
Hope my answer is helpful.
