Question: Hi after a bicep workout in early December 2016 I was awoken in the middle of night the night with pain in my forearm and elbow. When I woke upI felt discomfort in my wrist when I would bend it back slightly. I waited 2 weeks and saw a hand specialist, he took x rays of both my wrist and elbow which came back negative for anything. He thought it might be a case of tennis elbow but was perplexed to find I did not have any physical symptoms of tennis elbow. For example I do not feel any pain when the doctor press on my elbow. This dr told me to rest for 2 months and see. I did this and did not feel better. I went to see another dr for a second opinion. The next dr specialized in prp and stem cells. I figured if I have tennis elbow prp could help promote fast healing. The dr ordered mri of neck and elbow all came back clean. He then ordered emg and nerve conduct study both of which came back negative. I would like another dr opinion, My elbow is constantly, cracking my forearm is always tight and also cracking. My wrist cant support any weight it always feels like there is pressure being applied to the wrist even when resting. It also is very painful when I supinate my hand. Your advice is much appreciated, thank you for time and effort.

Brief Answer:
Can be mild inflammation.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The pain in the wrist and elbow with no positive findings on MRI scan can be due to a mild inflammation of bursae or mild non specific capsular inflammation. This can happen due to stressful activities involving these joints. Excessive use of keyboard can also cause such a pain.
In addition to mild pain killers it is best to do a hot compress and use an elastic brace around the elbow and wrist for relief.
I hope this answers your query.

Brief Answer:
Not related to rotator cuff.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
Rotator cuff injury is not likely to cause pain and stiffness in the elbow and wrist. it can happen due to a local muscle spasm.
Hope my answer is helpful.
