Suggest Treatment For Pain In Thigh During The Night
Question: On left thigh only at night, I have pain inside that wakes me up. I have tried tonic water before bed and that helped for a couple of weeks but has not helped for the last 3 nights. I have been on a station and low dose estrogen for the past year. I am 71 and exercise 4-5 days a week And am generally in good health.
Brief Answer:
It can be a looser zone
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have studied your case. You may be having oateopenia with a looser zone. This is typical at inner part of thigh or groin where bone get weak due to lack of calcium.I would recommend you to get x ray of the bone to confirm the diagnosis.
I would suggest you to take calcium and vitamin D daily. oestrogen taken for long time can make you deficient in bone minerals.
I hope this answer will be useful for you. Let me know if there is any other followup questions.
thanks

When I said inside, I meant the pain was inside the thigh as opposed to on the skin or surface; in fact, the pain's location is more center to outside of thigh. If I press on the thigh or stretch continuously for a few seconds, it goes away.
Would that change your recommendation?
