Suggest Treatment For Pain On The Side Of Neck And Shoulder Blade
Question: Dear Sir/Madam,
I experienced a sprain in the right side of my neck and just below my right shoulder blade on my back three days ago. After the first day, I started feeling a slight burning sensation in the right side of my neck when I slightly bend forward (for example to read the text at the bottom of my monitor). I then took a couple of tablets for sprain which allowed me to get rid of the sprain and I am able to move my neck freely to my complete right and left. But this burning sensation still persists and keeps popping up every now and then. How do I get rid of it?
Thanks and Regards,
XXXX

Brief Answer:
This can be due to nerve compression in neck
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have studied your case. I think you are having nerve compression in neck. I have following suggestions for you.
1.Avoid using very high pillow.
2.Avoid sitting in front of lap top for long time, avoid travelling too much. Jerky activities increases neck pain.
3.Tablet Pregabalin M should be taken at night time. It will help you in burning pain.
4.Hot water fomentation
These steps will be helpful in burning pain. In case pain continues we need to get MRI of the cervical spine.
