Hello and welcome,

I am assuming the pain is in the right upper quadrant of your abdomen?

While having a problem with your gall bladder can be ruled out, there is still the possibility of a problem with the remaining duct that allows bile from the liver to flow into the first part of the small intestines at the Sphincter of Oddi.

Given how high up the pain is (under your breast rather than below or just under your rib cage) there is also the possibility of liver area pain. The liver is surrounded by a capsule that has nerves, and when there is pressure or stretching of this capsule, such as when bending over, that can cause pain.

I recommend that you go in to see your doctor to have an exam (which will help locate it more specifically), liver panel (a blood test), and most likely an abdominal ultrasound.

I hope this information helps. Please let me know if I can help further.

Detailed Answer:
In this area is the stomach and pancreas.

If there is burning type pain and burping, there may be irritation of the stomach lining, for which an H2 blocker such as Zantac (ranitidine) can help.

However, if the pain is severe and radiating, it may be from the pancreas. For this, I recommend going in. The doctor can check pancreatic enzymes, and an ultrasound can help sort this out too.
