Suggest Treatment For Painful Ingrown Toenail

Question: I have a painful ingrown toenail that I have been taking antibiotics for to clear the infection, as prescribed by the doctor. He has referred me to the podiatry department, but they've got a minimum 6 week waiting list. Is there anything I can do at home to alleviate the pain??
Brief Answer:
Phenolization
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query.
It's good that you are taking antibiotic along with that also take an anti inflammatory like diclofenac and apply ointment mupirocine.
After a week phenol cautery can be tried.
In this pure phenol is applied in nail folds to treat ingrown nails.
Let me know if you have any other doubts.
Thank you.
