Suggest Treatment For Painful Rash On Body
Question: Hello, I broke out with a very painful rash today and it's not going away. The rash areas feel like deep bruises? Please help They are very swollen also. Like I'm retaining water or something??
Brief Answer:
upload the image and see doctor for examination
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing in HCM
It is very difficult to say what it is without examination, so i would advice you to upload the image of the same to provide you specific advice.
As you have mentioned it has occurred overnight and there is good amount of swelling, I would suggest you to get your self examined by doctor for better assessment.
It might be due to bacterial infection or viral infection, but without examination it is difficult to say.
Hope this helped.
Take care.

Brief Answer:
either contact dermatitis or cellulitis, consult doctor for further evaluat
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I have gone through the picture.
Have you come in contact with something that usually you won't, based on the information and picture it might be contact dermatitis.
I would have prescribed oral corticosteroids to reduce inflammation, antihistamines to relieve itching. I would have considered the antibiotic on general examination.
It is also required to rule out cellulitis, so I would suggest you to see doctor for further evaluation.
Hope this helps.
