Suggest Treatment For Painful Rash Under Breast And On Arms
Question: I have a painful rash underneath my breast and I have had a a rash in the middle of both arms that itches for two weeks and is a little painful. The rash underneath my breast is very red, painful and I cannot stand to touch the rash and wash very easy when I bathe. Could this be the shingles?

Breast rash can be due to many causes which can be due to something occurring in breast itself or may be systemic (body wide) infection.
It can be due to allergy or mastitis or due to fungal infection. shingles (chicken pox) can cause such red , painful itchy rash.
However, chicken pox is common in childhood in 90% and rarely it can occur in older immuno-compromised age group.
In your case, at this age group , shingles is less likely. Examination is necessary to know the cause of rash. consultation with skin specialist can help you.
