Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for using Hcm.

Sometimes the injury due to sprain can last for longer times more than 4 to 6 weeks depending on any involvement of the smaller nerve endings on that area.

This is normal in most of the sprain injuries,do not worry.

Avoid more joint movements for 2 to three weeks.

Local application of pain relieving gels or local anaesthetic gels,or simple gentle massage with olive or clove oil also gives good relief for the soreness.

Cold compression with ice packs two to three times daily will also help.

Please apply crepe bandage or wrist band to restrict excessive movements.

If the soreness still persists,I suggest you to take supplement tablets containing pregablin or gabapentin added with methylcobalamine once daily after consulting your treating orthopaedic surgeon.

Hoping my advise shall really provide better relief concerned with your problem.
Please get back to me with any related doubts.
All the best, take care.
