Brief Answer:
Muscular spasm due to uncomfortable posture while sleeping

Detailed Answer:
Hi there.

Thanks for the query.

This is most probably due to uncomfortable posture while sleeping.

She can apply hot packs to the painful regions. Avoid bending the neck forward or turning to the sides. She can apply pain killer gel.

Sure can take Tablet Diclofenac and Thicolchicoside combination twice a day for 5 days after meals and Tablet Ranitidine 150mg twice a day, half an hour before meals for 5 days. Avoid using a thick pillow. Use a thin pillow only.

She can wear a soft cervical collar around the neck while sitting and standing to give relief. Avoid lifting weights of doing overhead activities.

The problem shall subside in 5 days.

I hope I have answered your query.
I will be available to answer your follow up queries.
