Suggest Treatment For Painful Swollen Bruise On Stomach After Injury

Question: Saturday evening I fell while hanging a picture. I landed with my belly on the back of a chair. It hurt, but stopped hurting fairly quickly. A bruise developed, as would be expected. The bruise has been getting larger and larger. It's now larger than my hand. I was unconcerned because I have quite a bit of fat to cushion my organs, and there is no sign of blood in my urine or stool. This morning I am feeling pain. There is a hard spot under the skin, in the area of the greatest impact. My blood pressure is higher than normal, but that could be because of the discomfort and worry. I hate to take time off work to see a doctor if this is normal for a bruise.
Brief Answer:
It is normal bruise though extensive!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
I am so sorry to hear about this fall. I have reviewed the image and this is a normal bruise. The increase is more visible as blood turn into purple/blue-black/dark etc as a result of the fall. It doesn’t suggest that you have further bruising after the accident. However, you need to put an eye on it and report any further changes. I will not recommend any doctor’s visit at this time because there are no reflags to be afraid of.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
