Question : Hi, a few months ago I was diagnosed with pseudocyst pancreatis due to a severe acute pancreatitis which was misdiagnosed and therefore left untreated. I am relativaly stable now obeying a very strong pancreatic diet and taking enzyme supplement plus analgetics in case of pain attack. Since Im am a lifetime runner, I d like to maintain my habit, even in a more moderate form. But I cannot find any conclusive information on this topic. My doctor says, better no. But since I am so good as addicted to running, it means a lot for my overall psychological stability, I don t know what to do. I am 49 now. Could you help me, please? Brief Answer:
You can continue to excercise, just avoid contact sports or injury to abd

Detailed Answer:
Welcome back to HCM: Please note that there is no reason why you should not continue to exercise, this is obviously important for everybody, now I would avoid contact sports as this could cause pancreatic cyst rapture which is what I believe your doctor is worries about. I hope this helps.
