Suggest Treatment For Partial Tear In Rotator Cuff And Shoulder Pain
Question: I have a partial tear in my rotator cuff and just had a third Lupron shot 10 days ago. I was released from physical therapy before the shot and now have shoulder pain again. Is this from the Lupron or the rotator cuff
Brief Answer:
The tear seems to be the cause
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
The pain is likely to be due to the partial tear of your rotator cuff. I do not think that Lupron (Leuprolide) is the cause of your pain. In any case, hot compress alternating with cold compress should provide relief.

I had no pain until I had my last Lupron shot on July 16 I was released from physical therapy on July 15 with no pain. Shoulder pain is a side effect of Lupron
Brief Answer:
Perhaps it was not necessary to go for Lupron injection
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back. Sorry for not being able to respond earlier.
I understand that shoulder pain can be a side-effect of Lupron. But I am keen to know that why exactly did you go for the injection when you did not have any pain beforehand. You must know that Lupron was not going to heal the tear.
