Question: I have a partially blocked ear and I've been putting in eardrops but it doesn't seem to go away. I wonder whether I should go to a doctor to have the ear syringed?

Brief Answer:
Good idea, you need to get your ears checked.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX, Thanks for coming to HealthCareMagic. Syringing with plain water is one good way of getting wax out of your ear. And if you have alot of wax build up, I would recommend it.

My question for you is though.. How do you know that your ear is blocked with wax? Was it already checked? Does this happen for you frequently? Do you have any other ear symptoms? Could you tell me what ear drops you've been using?

I just want to make sure we are ruling out other major issues. Eustachian tube blockage can simulate similar symptoms and not be caused by wax build up.

Has someone examined your ear? If not, that would be a good first step.

Let me know what you're thinking,

Vinay
