Suggest Treatment For Peeling Dry Lips Along With A Little Bump In The Left Vermilion Border

Question: Hello,
I am XXXX and for the past two years I have been battling with very dry lips for which I always apply pure Vaseline petroleum jelly in lots of amount at night and also during the day. Two months ago I got this redness and fissures like soreness in my lower lips for which I consulted the doctor both in person as well as in this podium. They said it could be either allergy or chellitis and gave me centrizine for ten days along with hydrocortisone acetate cream to be applied . The doctor also said in such cases of severe peeling dry lips to apply the cream . Today after having my dinner which was from outside as there was a party at home , I happened to notice a small pimple like bump in the left vermillion border no pain no itching as such also when looked closely and when I asked my mother to feel it she said it felt more like a cut . I am soooo scared of herpes that I have taken both the tests two times six months ago and since then never have kissed anyone nor shared anybody toothbrush or tumbler as such . I am sharing the photos please help me

Brief Answer:
Not Herpes
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have viewed the most recent images that you posted. These are not at all suggestive of herpes labialis. Herpes labialis is quite distinctive and presents as sores which are painful. These images are more like a case of cheilitis. There can be varieties of cheilitis like an allergy to toothpaste, cosmetics, vitamin deficiency.
You may apply Flutivate cream for a week. Protect from the sun and use a lip balm with high SPF. Take a B complex supplement once daily (cap. Becosule). Drink lots of water (at least 2 liters daily).
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Use Flutivate cream
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Don't worry. It is not due to a particular type of diet or food and its certainly not herpes labialis. You may apply Flutivate cream twice daily for a few days. It should be fine with this. Probably its also an anxiety issue because you are constantly worried by herpes despite assurances. I suggest you to also mention about your anxiety about labial herpes to your psychiatrist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Thank you.

Hello doctor,
Thanks a lot for your reply . I have a few queries related to the kind of lip balm I can use for everyday purpose
1) almost 99% of the time I am at home and hardly go outside in the sun in that case can I still use sebamed lip balm even at night times or is it only for outside purpose
2) if I am not exposed to the outside air I am constantly inside the air conditioner room which makes my lips extremely dry flaky and peeling does sebamed work in this condition
3) I am not able to find our Vaseline petroleum jelly close to my place that's why I can't include it in my routine hence if not for sebamed or Vaseline can you please suggest any other lip balm I can use especially for sensitive skin like mine for daily indoor purpose or can I use sebamed itself

Brief Answer:
Lip balm
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
You can use Sebamed Lip Balm, twice daily i.e at night as well as during the day. Sebamed lip balm is quite good for dry and flaky skin. Other options for lip balms that you may try to find in your area are either Chaptex lipcare cream, Blistex Lip Balm or NMF-e lip balm. Personally speaking NMF-e lip balm is quite good. You may try using it.
