Suggest Treatment For Peeling Of Feet Skin In Children

I would like to rule out Acral skin peeling syndrome
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query
There can various causes of skin peeling of feet. But if it is not red, hard or cracked; most of the possibilities are straightly ruled out.Apart from skin peeling syndrome,Fungal infection and eczema are two common causes.
In fungal infection the feet or spaces between the toes should be red.itchy and inflammed.
Acral skin peeling syndrome is a condition in which there is spontaneous peeling of skin of soles and/or palms without any signs of inflammation.
It may run in families.Sometimes it may get precipitated by change in enviromental temperature or humidity. It does not need any specific treatment and gradually a new layer grows without any residual scar. You may apply emollient for better recovery.
No association has been found between this syndrome and allergy.
The second possibility is eczema but chances are less likely due to absence of cracking or itching.
So I won't get worried for the peeling if there is no redness or other signs of inflammation as it is a self limiting condition and has no residual effects.
I hope this helps.
Please do ask if you have any more query.
Wish you and your family good health.
Regards

I would like to keep her in follow up
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for the follow up
Although exact association with atopic dermatitis with peeling of skin is not known. But some of the children with atopic dermatitis has a propensity to develop eczema.
In that case it can be related to the eczema.
As it does not need any specific treatment I would like to keep her in follow up and to see whether this peeling is associated with skin rashes every time or not.
Regards
