HI DR. DITAH
Update on my situation ( abscess )
I am following the guidelines with the sitz Baths which seems to work well
The Swelling in area of the Abscess has almost gone away it is still a little hard closer to the hole
The bleeding has almost stopped
The pain has decreased quite a lot
The hole size has increased a bit

During last night a lot of stuff ( thick blood and pus I assume ) Came out. Since then there is not a lot of bleeding. Closer to the hole However is still a bit hard and there is still some amount of pus inside
Can you advise me if this is normal

Thank u in advance

Brief Answer:
Continue the ongoing management!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for the updates.

I have read through the entire information. This is all good news and I will suggest that you continue the treatment as discussed earlier. I am confident that we are even closer to achieving healing at this point. There is nothing to be afraid of at this time.

I wish you well and keep the discussion going on.

Hello Dr, Ditah
Update on my Situation.
Thank you so much for your guidance.

The pain, Sweeling and Bleeding has decreased quite a lot compared to before --- it quite better.

The Concern I have is there is hole in addition to side cut going towards my anus this has gotten slightly bigger .. the flip side is that the pus has started to decrease
I was wondering if the hole/cut was going to heal or would I need to put adhesive plaster to prevent it (side cut/split ) from opening further ..

Once again thank you so much and await your response

Can you send an image to me?

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

For now, we are going with the same treatment plan. No adhesive band, no topical ointments. Please, provide an image of this to me if possible for further review and suggestions.

I wish you well.

Brief Answer:
I have reviewed them!

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for the images.

You took the pictures at such a close range that the opening seems very very larger. I guess it is nit the case.

For now, continue the sitz baths. As long as there is no more pus and the pain subsides, healing would be gradual. Be calm and continue. At this time, all that is warranted is wound care and that is what we are doing.

Keep me updated about this!

I am following the guidelines with the Sitz Bath
The Swelling and Bleeding have stopped.. there is a slight amount of wetness which I attribute to the wound still being open,

Hello Dr. Ditah
Thank you for Follow up. I greatly appreciate it. I am following the guidelines.
I am able to go about my daily activities with very little discomfort. The bleeding has stopped and the pain has decreased quite a lot.
From the picture taken:-

I had to hold open the butt cheeks to take the picture ( I think the I pulled the wound slightly apart making it look a bt larger than iy actually is )
In my estimation the wound has greatly improved from previous condition
I await your evaluation
I really appreciate your patience in this
