Suggest Treatment For Pericoronitis

default
Posted on Mon, 9 Feb 2015
Question: I believe I have developed Pericoronitis over the past couple days. My lymph node on the effected left side is slightly swollen and that left lymphnode/wisdom tooth area is sore when touched and a little sore when I swallow or open my mouth wide, but my mouth opening is not restricted. Is it ok if I wait until Monday to see the doctor?

Brief Answer:
Pericoronitis, Impacted wisdom tooth

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX

Thanks for consulting Healthcare magic

Read your query as you have pain in your wisdom tooth over couple of days pain can be due to wisdom tooth impaction or partially erupted wisdom tooth covered by pericoronal flap.
This pericoronal flap has deposition of food debris and bacteria causing pain and swelling.

Can you attach (image) report of wisdom tooth that will be more helpful for me to arrive at conclusion and I can give you proper diagnosis.

Based on detail provided I will suggest you to do warm saline rises 2 -3 times a day and for pain you can take medicine like ibugesic plus or ketrol dt by consulting with local doctor .
