Suggest Treatment For Peripheral Neuropathy

Type of quadriceps surgery is not specified
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome
I appreciate your concern
Type of quardiceps surgery is not mentioned. you may specify it ti comment accordingly. Most commonly it can be tendon repair surgery. Quardiceps muscle has four parts which unite to form tendon which attaches to patella then the patellar tendon attaches to tibia. Tear may be complete or partial, small tears makes it difficult to walk , managment is consevative and large tears are disabling and require surgery.
Causes of these tear are injury and tendon weakness which include tendinitis many chronic conditions like chronic renal failure hyperparathyroidism gout diabetes SLE rhematoid arthritis , also fluoroquinilones are assosiated with quardiceps tendon tear.
While during the surgery all the near by structures are exposed and handled so every information related to it must be provided to the surgen.
wishing you best of health
Thanks

Detailed Answer:
Hello again.
Peripheral neuropathy is damage to the nerves of peripheral nervous system which can be due to disease of nerve or as part of sytemic illness. There are four patterns polyneuropathy mononeuropathy mononeuritis multiplex autonomic neuropathy.
Neuropathy may be assosiated with varying combination of weakness, autonomic changes and sensory changes. Loss of muscle bulk fasciculation a particular fine twitching of muscle may be seen
There are may other types of neuropathies like diabetic and femoral, femoral neuropathy can occur secondary to direct trauma compression fracture stretch injury or ischemia
it causes weakness of quardiceps in adavce cases wasting of quardiceps occurs
So neuropathy is pathology in its own and tear is pathology in its own self complete tear should be repaired when muscle is good in function and the surgery will improve the quality of life of a person what important is during the surgey surgeon should know whats he dealing with whats his limitations. Sugeon will be extra careful near the nerves as not to cause any other damage once he knows it
Hope it will help
Thanks
