Suggest Treatment For Persistent Chills And Fever

Question: Yes tonight I have the chills and a fever. Is this a virus..... it came on suddenly thanks for help!

Yes it could be viral fever.
Before concluding to any diagnosis i would like to know other details like.

Do you have pain or burning during urinating?
Any cold or cough?
Any pain abdomen or joint pains?
Have you recorded the temperature when it was high? If recorded let me know?

Thanks so much for ur response...so far no burning when urinating...no cold or cough....no pain in the abdomen or joint pain .... temp 101....

Then take Acetaminophen

Detailed Answer:
Then it could be just an acute episode of fever due to any stress or mild viral infection.

Need not worry much

Just try taking any over the counter available antipyretics like Acetaminophen, ibruprofen, paracetamol or Naproxen.

Have any of these 1 tablet 2 times for 3 days. And take rest for 2 to 3 days. Resting yourself is the mainstay treatment in both cases of fever due to stress or viral cause.
