Brief Answer:
Possible complication with pneumonia or acute bronchitis.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

The fact that you have fever even if it has been 2 weeks with this health problem, it tells me that you may be having a pneumonia or bronchitis. To confirm this you need a physical exam at your local doctor who can examine your lungs.

If they confirm pneumonia, you will need an antibiotic, otherwise it may get worse and worse.

About what you can use for cough, in general I recommend to my patients Acetylcisteine, 3 times/day for as long as you will need it. It will soften the mucus and help you expectorate it much easier and relieve the cough feeling.

Also, drink plenty of fluids, teas with honey and eat foods rich in vitamin-C.

Hope this is helpful.
