Suggest Treatment For Persistent Diaper Rashes In A Child

Question: Hi Doctor,
My daughter is 3.5 months old. She is having diaper rashes (front area). Pic attached.
We have tried applying boroline and Himalaya Diaper rash cream and himalaya baby powder but, the problem is not resolved yet. Diaper rash is there for more than 2 weeks now.
Also, her left eye gets watery and lot of sticky/dry eye dirt/mucus comes at corner of the eye. We are doing massage at eye corner (near nose) and using Tobacin eye drop but, again this is not resolved.
Please suggest.
Regards,
XXXX

Brief Answer:
Use zinc oxide based cream
Detailed Answer:
Hi, welcome to HCM. Can understand your concerns.
I have seen the picture that you have attached. From the pictures, it looks like diaper rash.
In diaper rash, zinc oxide based creams are used like easinapi or rashfree cream. Apply it two times a day for 5 days. Decrease use of diapers. Change diapers more frequently. If rash doesn't decrease in 48 hours than examination by doctor should be done.
For eye discharge, since you are already giving antibiotic drops and doing massage, an examination is necessary. Get the child examined by a doctor for eye discharge.
I hope this helps.
Take care.

Hi Doctor,
Thanks for your reply.
One more query.....
She starts crying at night (around 12 midnight or 1 am) and keeps crying for 2-3 hours or more and then sleeps. Frequency of potty is approx once in 2 days.
We have given her colicaid sometimes which doesn't seem to create any difference.
Sometimes seems to be gas problem to us as she passes gas during that time and sometimes burp and stops for a moment and then again cries. Sometimes we apply hing also on her tummy.
Generally she is fine during day time and cries only during night. Please suggest what could be the issue?
