Suggest Treatment For Persistent Diarrhea

Don't have any
stool tests and blood tests needed
Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
Persistent diarrhea can be due to different causes such as: (1) infection- very common. Viral, bacterial or parasite infection of the intestines can cause this problem
(2) Thyroid disease- high levels of thyroid hormone can actually cause diarrhea
(3)food intolerance- there are some persons who are intolerant to some foods. If you note that there are particular foods that are causing the problems , it is possible that this is the case
(4)inflammatory bowel disease- Crohns disease or ulcerative colitis can cause this symptom as well
(5)side effect of medication
(6)diabetes- because of its effect on the nerves that affect movement in the bowel.
To find out the cause for you: (1) food diary to see if there are any particular foods that cause this problem
(2)a stool test to the lab- this test would determine if an infection is present
(3)blood tests for diabetes, thyroid
(4) if no infection detected or blood tests normal, may need imaging of the bowel by barium enema or colonoscopy
If it is difficult to get these down at this time then you would need to consider using only small amounts of bland foods and using medications such as lomotil or peptobismol to help
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
