Suggest Treatment For Persistent Dizziness

Question: I'm 75 and have had an essential head tremor for a number of years. It's becoming worse and I've started feeling a little lightheaded and off balance. Might that be connected to the head tremor?
Brief Answer:
Visit to a neurologist
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concern.
Essential head tremors usually doesn't involve balance.
At this age possibility of cerebellar degeneration or some deficiency should be evaluated.
Hypothyroidism causes cerebellar symptoms.
You should get examined by a neurologist.
Vitamin B 12 testing should be done.
Brain Mri may be required too.
Mild lightheadedness can be due to anxiety, decreased sleep and requires addition of amitriptyline or sertraline.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
