Thanks for contacting Ayurveda with your health concern and before prescribing the treatment & management aspect do let me know about the following for better understanding of the disease:
1. Source of Infection:
a. was it direct contact with an infected person (sharing socks/shoes/towel)?
b. walking barefoot in public places like: swimming pool/shower/floor of locker rooms?
c. Since the fungus thrive/ survive in warm-moist environment thus do you have problem of sweaty feet or keeping feet under water for long periods?
d. People with diabetes and having weak Immunity (recurrent cold) are more prone towards this disease (thus do let me know about your blood glucose level & any history of falling ill regularly)?
e. Were you prescribed topical or oral antifungal drugs?

b. This is quite possible.
However I feel the below is the cause.
I had a bike accident more than 10 years ago in which my left foot was trapped due to fall on left side. I suffered hairline cracks in my foot. Since then I have noticed that there is no gap between my fifth and fourth toe. I suspect this is the initiation. I am able to stretch my right foot fifth toe outwards and there is good aeration in between. This is not the case with my left foot.
c. I wear shoes continually (but I don't suppose that I have sweaty feet). Am not aware how to confirm this.
d. my blood reports are normal (routine office medical check up) and I do not suffer from diabetes (neither in family)
e. Was prescribed oral drugs but the names can be given later (not able to recollect them now).

Thanks for reverting back.
1. Dry your feet thoroughly [between toes] after bath with a cotton towel or with a hair dryer and avoid high sugar diet and oily products
2. Wear cotton socks and if wearing shoes continuously then remove the insole of shoes to allow them to dry over night and apply apple vinegar [open toed sandals are good options]
3. In Ayurveda I usually manage my patients on the line of ‘Dadru’ [kshudra kushtha:
a. To maintain the pH balance of your feet keep your feet in solution of ‘swarjikshaar’ [baking soda] for 30 minutes daily
b. Other good anti perspirants are: tankan [boric acid], XXXXXXX [alum], aloe vera,apple cider vinegar,honey,garlic, B complex vitamins,
c. Useful external topical applications are: maha marichyadi taila, tuvraka taila,jatyadi taila, dadrughana lepa while internally gandhaka rasayan,bakuchi,arogyavardhini vati,haridra khand, rasmanikya.
d. Mix 10 gm of haldi in 100 ml neem oil and apply in between your toes [before bath]
e. You will require Immunomodulation therapy [ Rasayan Chikitsa] :
i. Proteins are essential for antibodies production so milk, egg (white), beans, yogurt, soyamilk, pumpkin,squash, watermelon,peanuts,almonds, if non-vegetarian (meat) are choices
ii. Vitamin A: helps to maintain Thymus gland which is a powerful antiviral gland : thus XXXXXXX carrots,cantaloupe ,egg yolk,apricots,pumpkin,papaya, are ideal
iii. Vitamin C: is needed for proper functioning of immune system: amla is best
iv. Vitamin E: is a powerful anti oxidant which helps to stimulate antibody production: peanuts, dried apricots, cooked spinach, taro root can be taken
v. Vitamin B is important for the activity of phagocytes: eggs, cheese, pistachio, raw garlic, sunflower and sesame oil.
vi. Ashwagandha,Mandukparni,Shatavari,Trikatu,Vacha,Guduchi,are best Immunomdulators.

1. Since the fungus thrive in warm-humid environment thus as long as you incorporate the lifestyle management (as discussed earlier) along with drugs it will take around 2 months (Average:6-9) to get completely cured
2. After you are symptom free just follow dietary and lifestyle management and home remedies.
