Suggest Treatment For Persistent Fungal Infection On The Torso
Apply topical antifungal and take antihistaminic, continue ifin tablet
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at healthcaremagic
I have reviewed the attached photographs and she is having ringworm infection.
Ifin is a good tablet for ringworm infection and the results will be good but little slow but rest of the oral antifungals won't be safe in breast feeding females.
If I was her treating doctor I would recommend her to apply topical antifungals as well.
I would recommend her to apply luliconazole cream on the affected areas once daily and take antihistaminic like tablet levocetrizine 5 mg once or twice daily depending on the intensity of itching.
This needs to be continued for atleast 6-8 weeks.
These are prescription drugs and you need to see the doctor in person to get them.
Besides this ask her to keep her soap and towel separate, stay in cool airy environment and wear loose cotton clothes.

Ringworm infection is contagious to some extent
Detailed Answer:
Yes ringworm infection is contagious to some extent.
Thats why I have asked used to avoid sharing of soap and towel.
I have reviewed the attached prescription and I think the medicines your wife has been prescribed contains steroids.
Steroids don't let the infection get cured. They only temporarily suppress the itching and inflammation.
That's why the infection is spreading and not getting fully cured. It only suppresses when you are taking steroid tablets.
Don't take steroids in future.
For itching I have asked you to take tablet levocetrizine 5 mg twice daily.
The pain on the affected areas will go with the use of topical antifungals.
understood and satisfied by ur answer,
Please priscribe topical antifungals.
