
Suggest Treatment For Persistent Hair Fall

Question: Hi,
I am 35 yrs old . I was facing severe hair loss from last 1 yr. Then i became carrying and when I started taking iron tab it started growing. This was my 2 nd pregnancy and this time during pregnancy I was having thyroid pblm. And from 7 month onwards I was having bp. I was also taking ecosprin during my pregnancy period .till 34 days before delivery.i alsi stopped thyroid tablet and bp tablet as per doctors instruction . After delivery again my periods were not regular just like before conceiving. When gone to gynac she told me since I am having polycystic ovaries to take femilon . I am having that. And again my hair fall started now(9 months after delivery). Now it's severe . Kindly advise.

I do understand your concern
With such a presentation in my clinic, I would first rule out Hypothyroidism and for it you need a physical examination and to confirm it you need [T3,T4 & TSH] test and treatment depends upon report only and it should not be stopped at all. Do take medications for your PCOD as advised by your doctor to balance body hormones.
