Muscle pain
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns
I am sorry to hear that you are having so much muscle pain and that your medical providers are not listening or believing you. My first thought with a person with muscle pain like this is that you may have something called polymyalgia rheumatica. This is an autoimmune disorder that cause significant muscle pain. To test for this you need lab for muscle damage called a CPK and a sed rate which measures general inflammation in the body. If you have this then you need ot be on steroids for a few weeeks to months. Another cause of such pain could be side effects of a statin or cholesterol medication. If you are on a cholesterol lowering medication I would ask you to immediately stop it. A third cause is possible fibromyalgia. This is a diagnoses of exclusion where you need to rule out other causes and what you are left with is fibromyalgia. It is treated with anti seizure medications like gabapentin or antidepressent medication like duloxetine.
In summary
1. Polymyalgia rheumatica
2. Side effects from medication like statins
3. Fibromyalgia
