Question: My arms have been hurting me for months. I can hardly lift them to fix my hair. Or reach for items. Rolling up the window in the car hurts, I can't shave my arm pits. I wake up in pain. I thought it would go away by now.

Brief Answer:
Due to compression of cervical nerve root there can be pain in arm.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I have studied your case.
Due to compression of cervical nerve root there can be pain in arm.
I will advise you to MRI cervical spine for better diagnosis.

For these symptoms analgesic and neurotropic medication like pregabalin can be started consulting your doctor.
Till time, avoid lifting weights, Sit with support to back. You can consult physiotherapist for help.
Physiotherapy like ultrasound and interferential therapy will give quick relief.
I will advise to check your vit B12 and vit D3 level.

Another possibility of pain can be due to shoulder stiffness. If required MRI shoulder may help in diagnosis.

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.

Take care.

Thank you for your quick response. I will make an appointment for MRI to check my spine. I did have compression fractures for T-8 through T-12 in an accident when I was 20 years old. Maybe things are starting to catch up. Thanks again.
